Wine Tour
Discover up close the dedication and passion that have guided the Jacorossi family since 1972 in crafting each bottle of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG. A journey that starts with the vine and the land, respecting tradition and relentlessly pursuing quality. For those who wish to visit the winery, taste, and purchase our products, you are welcome to stop by our shop at Via Talosa 8 (just 20 meters from Piazza Grande) or book a guided tour with tasting. A perfect experience for those looking to immerse themselves in the elegance and authenticity of Tuscany’s wine culture.
Owned by the Roman entrepreneur Angelo Jacorossi since 1972, Talosa was one of the first wineries in Montepulciano to embark on a path of excellence that has helped elevate Vino Nobile di Montepulciano to the top of Tuscan and Italian enology.
The estate covers an area of 33 hectares and produces approximately 100,000 bottles per year. At the heart of our production lies Sangiovese, which is not only our main grape variety but also represents our heritage and our soul.
The main aging cellar is located in the heart of Montepulciano’s historic center, beneath two of the town’s oldest palaces: Palazzo Tarugi and Palazzo Sinatti. Visiting Talosa’s Historic Cellar is a journey back in time to the 1500s, when these captivating underground galleries were built. Entirely made of brick, the galleries wind through a sequence of arches and niches that house the barrels, preserving the timeless atmosphere of the past.
